Theodosius of Chernigov or (in contrast to Theodosius the Caveman) Theodosius the Priest (in the world – Polonitsky-Uglitsky – Archbishop of Chernigov under the tutelage of the Russian and Moscow Patriarchate, glorified in the count of Saints and Wonderworkers. He is one of the heavenly patrons of Modern, primarily New Kiev on the Transdnieper, whose lands were historically subordinate to the Chernigov diocese of the Old, Greek and Slovene, Ukrainian (Russian) Church.
