Extremely rare Soviet vase / cup “SLAVA-SILA-TROUD” FOR SPORTING MASTERY

Vase “Labor Force Glory” is a piece of antiques and has a significant collector’s value. Its body has a cone-shaped form, and the bottom is made flat. On the edge of the vase has a wide border with the inscription: “Labor Power Glory”.
The drawing on the eyelid of the vase is stylized, it occupies the central part of the piece. The torso depicts the Spasskaya Tower on one side and outer space, with planets and stars on the other. The silhouettes of the space objects are outlined and the glittering facets intersect. This style was characteristic of Soviet glassware of the 1960s, reflecting the theme of cosmonautics and the grandeur of the space age.
This vase was a prize for the winner of the socialist competition in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. At that time, the need for gifts was great, and famous artists were engaged to create them. Products of that time, such as this vase, are now in museums and private collections.
The vase was made in the Soviet Union in 1967, and is made of colorless glass, using casting, faceting and grinding.
