Seraphim of Sarov is a hieromonk of the Sarov Monastery, founder and patron of the Diveyevsky women’s monastery. He was glorified by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1903 as a Monk on the initiative of Emperor Nicholas II. A great ascetic of the Russian Church and one of the most honored monks in its history.
