Reference: Nikolai Alexeyevich Nekrasov – Russian poet, prose writer and publicist. He is a classic of Russian literature. He is best known for such works as the epic poem “To Whom it is Good to Live in Russia”, the poems “Frost, Red Nose”, “Russian Women”, the poems “Grandfather Mazai and the Hares”, “The Railroad”. His poems were mainly devoted to the suffering of the people, the tragedy of the peasantry. Nekrasov introduced into Russian poetry the richness of folk language and folklore, widely using in his works proseisms and speech turns of ordinary people – from everyday to journalistic, from folk colloquialism to poetic vocabulary, from oratorical to parodic-satirical style. Using colloquial speech and folk phraseology, he greatly expanded the range of Russian poetry.
