      Akhtyrka is a village in Sergiev Posadsky District, Moscow Region, Russia, part of Khotkovo Urban Settlement.
      Population 73 peopleThe village of Akhtyrka near Khotkovo has been known since 1504. Until the end of the XVIII century it was called Dudkino (Dutkino). Since the middle of the XVIII century the village was owned by princes of the Trubetskiy family. In 1772 a wooden church in honor of the Akhtyrka icon of the Mother of God was built in the village and it was called after the church – Akhtyrka.
      In the first quarter of the 19th century, the Trubetskys commissioned the construction of an estate complex in Akhtyrka, which was unrivaled in the north-east of the Moscow region. The main part of the buildings, including the manor house, was destroyed during the Soviet era.
      At the end of the XIX century Akhtyrka was administratively part of Mitinskaya volost of Dmitrov uyezd. In 1852 it had 156 inhabitants. Since the mid-1920s the village was a part of Khotkovo volost of Sergievsky uyezd. In 1924 it had 78 households and 330 inhabitants. Peasants sold milk to Moscow, taking advantage of the proximity of the railroad. Until 1959 Akhtyrka was the center of Akhtyrsky village council.
