Historical background:
The Czech porcelain company Thun was founded in 1794 and today continues to operate in the Czech Republic. Porcelain is produced in seven factories, each of which specializes in a particular product line: porcelain sets, white porcelain (used in hotels), pink porcelain, decorated porcelain, etc. Factory “Thun” also produces a line of highly artistic unique porcelain handmade porcelain sets painted gold and exclusively decorated. Among them are “Studio Thun Line” and “President Line” (in honor of the President of the Czech Republic, who uses these sets during official receptions in his castle in Prague). The high quality of Thun products is achieved by centuries of experience in porcelain production. The use of the most modern technologies allows to produce products of various sizes (up to 450 mm. in diameter) and shapes (plates, trays, etc.). Collection of Czech porcelain “Thun” – a real find for lovers of exquisite serving, as it includes more than 6000 varieties of decoration, fired in kilns at a temperature of up to 1,260 ° C. Czech porcelain sets “Thun” are used at receptions in the castle in Prague, at receptions in the Moscow Kremlin, as well as in many embassies around the world.
